Souraya Kreidieh

MFA Candidate

About me

Souraya Kreidieh is a current MFA candidate and part of the Architectural Association Interdisciplinary Professional Studio (AAIS) of the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, United Kingdom. She graduated from the American University of Beirut (AUB) with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2012. During her undergraduate years, she developed an interest in exploring the overlap of installation art and architecture; she immersed herself in the interdisciplinary art and design field. She found art as an expression tool that best represents a city and interacts with it. During her years at AUB, and as part of her research, she was also involved in the production of several public art and theatre installations around Beirut City. After her graduation, she worked as an Architect at Dar Al Handasah Shair and Partners, an international consultant design firm in Beirut. There, she had the opportunity to work closely on variable projects of various scales and acquire a knowledge in construction.
