I create dynamic and authentic images containing the inimitable energy that can only be captured by working fast, staying alert and being discreet.
I work with clients who want this 'elevated snapshot' aesthetic for their own projects - images that tell stories through the fleeting, surreal, humorous or playful 'micro-events' that don't reveal themselves during more formal photoshoots.
Much of my personal work is centred around documenting family life in the same way, an approach that reveals the rarely shared aspects of domesticity.
I also work as a photography educator, having run workshops for local young creatives, university students and in prisons.

Projects
- Tom Giles - NMMNGOne man - Tom Giles - 12 characters. Photo shoot to create promotional material for his one-man show, "No More Mr Nice Gay". In Tom's words: “Putting history on, to take it off.” was my objective. Creating characters, rooted in reality, that take the audience through queer history from Moses on the Mountain, to some kind of recognisable queer lives today."
- Fantastical Worlds at Turner ContemporaryFantastical Worlds was a youth arts project which took place in May - July 2022. After exhibiting at The Wooden Box Gallery, it was taken on by Turner Contemporary in Margate as part of their Clore Learning Library. "Fantastical Worlds is a collaboration between Year 8 students at Royal Harbour Academy and Project Motorhouse. - LCCA Guest PhotographerIn February 2023, I was invited by the Course Director for the BA Fashion, Media and Promotion degree at LCCA to run some photography sessions to help the students use photography to express their values, identity and personality through a combination of styling and photographic techniques. Over several weeks we covered subjects such as how composition, lighting and photographic technique can help communicate ideas and create moods, and how the values of fashion publications influence the photog

I ran 6 week (12 day) courses for inmates giving them skills and industry insight with the aim of helping them with their rehabilitation. With theory and practical workshops taking in all areas of the industry, later in the course we allowed room for experimentation and personal projects, as well as the opportunity to enter the Koestler Awards (which have been won by participants many times over).
