  Reset the NormalReset the Normal is the VI for the 2022 degree show that I and two other classmates designed for the Exploded Design School (another name for the MA Graphic Design course at Kingston School of Art). “Reset the Normal” emphasises our experiences on this course and realises our potential to become drivers of a new normal. • Jazz SpeaksJazz Speaks, the final major project of my MA graphic design course at Kingston School of Art, is a side discussion of what is jazz in the contemporary context, the conclusion can be considered an indirect, scoped response to this discussion. From the perspective of the staged visual conclusion, it also explores the conflict between the Eurocentrization and the de-Europeanisation of jazz’s identity in the process of modernization.

  Mind ReadingThis project is a theory-oriented design practice based on Vilém Flusser’s article The Gesture of Writing (2009), which explores the meaning of writing. The outcome is inspired by a poetic fictional ability called “mind reading”. Mind reading is said to be used to read the thoughts of the mind directly. This film shows what it is like to use mind reading to read silent spoken language that needs to be written down but skips the writing process. The film does not use any post-processing effects,
• Process BooksProcess books are records of any process undertaken in the Kingston School of Art’s graphic design course, including project research, visual experimental, design process, and more. Shown here are the process books of modules DE7302, DE7301, and DE7401. These process books carry out some experiments related to editorial design while considering readability.
• OCT Tower Wall PicturesThese wall pictures were designed for OCT Tower to promote OCT Group’s philosophy and business scope and also for decoration. The graphics are inspired by the diamond-like architectural features of the OCT Tower.
• OCT Park Opening Promotion VIThis is an opening promotion VI designed for OCT Park in Shenzhen. Inspired by the client’s auxiliary graphic “∞” representing “unlimited joy”.
