Can I get some feedback/ advice on my portfolio website?

I'm currently in the process of redesigning my site and would love to get some feedback!
I haven't done too much yet, so if you can just take a look at the first project (square 1: DTGUK), thats an example of how I'm thinking the rest will look :)

  • Hi Georgia,

Hope your well. I like your work. My comments would be:

    1. I don't think the 'g' in your logo works, I would loose the 'g' and just have your name and change the text in italics to roman. It will look cleaner and
    sometimes less is more.
    2. When I viewed your home page I did not know wether you are selling yourself as a 'Graphic Designer' or 'Illustrator'?
    3. I would make it clear you are a Graphic Designer. Sending the right message to your audience is so important. People don't spend long looking at a homepages - their attention spans are very short and they need to get what you do really fast, they loose interest otherwise.

Hope this helps, keep doing great work. Stay safe.

    Best wishes Andy
  • @Mitchel Brock oh yeah I haven't finished those pages, thats why theyre not linked yet haha. I probably remove the portfolio page, thankyou for looking :)!
  • @Florencia Dzodan , @Pedro Pontoni Thanks for taking a look, I've only completed two of the project pages, DTGUK and 36 Days of type, so far! I didn't want to get too far in the design of pages if others thought things could be changed haha
  • Hi Georgia,

I seem to be having the same issues as Florencia.
I get to your homepage and then clicking on the Portfolio tab it doesn't expand to the different categories you have in your body of work.

  • Hi Georgia!
I can't seem to get into the projects... I see the thumbnails in the beginning and the portfolio section, but I can't go any further on either page. Checked with different browsers but still happening the same.
    :)
  • I love your 36 days its beautifull and outstanding this is type and to be honest art direction for you showcase your best work. At the moment you need to not make a grid elements too much there is happening its messy try less is more just like you did with type its great
  • You should divide the projects by sections: Gaprhic design, illustration, lettering. That way it will look more organized, the thumnails with texts are not helping, it looks saturated, try to use thumnails with a clean interesting image.
  • hey, can't seem to click on links, so they might be broken?? also found it wierd that you go from what almost seems like a portfolio as the home page, to then a different portfolio, maybe make it all one thing? got som enice projects though :)
  • Hey!

It looks really cool! I’m in no position to crit your work/website but I just thought I’d let you know that the phone version of the website is a bit muddled :(

Your work is really good though and best of luck :)
