Could anyone give some advice on how to break into the marketing industry?
Recently due to lockdown I have been expanding my skillset and branching out into different fields besides my normal bubble of music, and have recently completed a course in digital marketing awarded by google.
I found the course so interesting and would love to potentially break into this industry for a future career, however I did not study marketing as a degree and have no industry experience currently.
Could anyone give some advice on what I could do to break into this industry?

- My advice is to continue your education to keep growing and learning, it is not as easy field. When you feel confident that you have it then make a great resume and put yourself out there.
- Try internships and volunteer marketing roles to build up your portfolio of work. and gain experience.
- Usuallly the easiest way to step into the marketing industry will be commission based roles like a Brand Ambassador and work your way up from there to reach a Basic Salary role.
- I dint have a marketing degree and fell into marketing after starting in journalism. It's great that you enjoyed and completed a digital marketing course. Experience is key and even getting a job with a company and then looking at marketimg roles there can help.
