Does anyone have any advise when feeling a bit stuck in your career and looking for new opportunities

I have BSc in International Management from The University of Manchester. I have exeprirence in Customer Service/Experience and skills in team leadership. I'm aslo a creative individual in my prsonal time and so would love to fuse my educational background, experiences/skills with this interest.

However, I've been taking a bit of a "career break" and taking a step back. I'm looking to really jump back into a role where I can find my passion and flourish.

Any advice/help would be SO appreciated.

Thanks :)

  • Hi Grace

Some great advice as ever from @Vikki Ross.

I firmly believe in visualising what you want success to look like. I have a tool you can download from my website called 'the Movie Poster' and in it there are instructions on how to create the future impact you want to see by anchoring it in something highly emotive, real and visual.

Let me know how you get on.

  • I'd contact anyone I'd want to work with and tell them - they don't know you exist otherwise, and you might contact someone just as they're looking for someone like you.

More advice in here - mostly for copywriters but some of it can be applied to any role:

  • @anna manning Thank you for your response! I have heard of this book actually! Maybe I should give it a go.

I've mainly had roles within the retail insdustry in Customer Experience and E-Commerce. In the last year I couldn tell you how many jobs I've applied for and been rejected from. I don't know if it's because I lack a bit of direction. But I do want a role that I can use a bit of my brain power for than my current role .
  • What have you tried? I loved this really old fasionied book called what colour is your parachtute, might be worth a try!

If you can tell me a bit more I might be able to suggest something more relevant
