Hey there to all the creative heads out here. I would love some suggestions on good Travel writing books, do mention why you like it too!
Fiction or not fiction! Something that captures the cultural details of travelling.

- Paul Theroux is my favourite travel writer, all his books are gems. His general approach to travel is real, humble and authentic. Maybe that’s why he travels by train...
- I think William Dalrymple's From the Holy Mountain is a classic in this genre. He describes the places he visits, but there is also a greater narrative involved.
- Hi Atulya :)Shutterstock has this great project on travel photography books if you're interested you can find it here: https://the-dots.com/projects/15-photography-books-to-read-to-inspire-your-next-shoot-351569Personally, when it comes to fictional travel books, I really recommend Robert Seethaler's 'A Whole Life'. It's a really quiet, serene, yet haunting book about a man's life in the mountains. 'Siddartha' by Herman Hesse isn't exactly in the travel genre, but involves lots of travelling and has amazing details of environments, so I would recommend that as well (it's also one of my favourite books). A classic travel book would be 'On the Road' by Jack Kerouac.Happy reading!Cathy x
