  • @Paul Gillam Thank you Paul for your feedback, it means a lot!
Usually I try to help them out with additional assets. Most of the times this means business card design or some stationery. In this particular case the client didn't want it, because they have already had their own CD and sheet music covers for example, and a whole redesign seemed to be a too big project for them. Especially in a financial way, I assume.
But you are right, it would be crucial, if it's possible.
  • It's a nice project, great logo, and I also like to see sketches - it's a rare ability these days to be able to draw by hand, it's something I would consider sharing with clients - but judge which ones like to get involved, vs the ones who just want a colder professional interaction. I'm sure you have found some clients like to be part of the journey.
I assume you would typically help. client build as many of their assets as you can (website, print collateral, any relaunch advertising if applicable)?
  • I really like the way you showed your thought process along with rough sketches. The logomark is also simple and memorable. I would to like to see more applications perhaps. And some more info about typography and color systems.
    Cheers!
  • @Mauricio Munoz Thank you so much for your valuable critique. Yes, honestly that banner is not a favourite of mines. I really like the stylescapes, in my recent projects I prefer them than a moodboard, they are much more effective.
I've met with that blog (when it was free), that's a goldmine, thank you for reminding me.
  • I think the brandmark is absolutely great , and so is the case study, very well presented, concise and clear. The stylescape acts better than a moodboard. my only criticism would be regarding the applications, particularly the pull up banner, feels a bit 'unispiring'.
If you are not following them already, follow underconsideration (https://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/) they often present insigthful criticism in branding and design cases.
