- @Lottie Brazier, there is no magic potion. Read descriptions and customer reviews, find what resonates with you, start writing. Remember, bullet points are your best friends.
- @Alice D Cooper all excellent points, thank you Alice!
- Hi Lottie - as a copywriter you have to turn your hand and craft your words across all kinds of media. Product descriptions are just one of many commissions you may get, but they are the cornerstone of most marketing strategies. The key is to avoid clichés and use evocative and rich language. As David Ogilvy famously once said, you're selling the sizzle not the bacon.
- @Lucy Thorpe this all makes sense! Great advice, thanks so much Lucy for taking the time to respond
- Hey @Lottie Brazier - I work with ecommerce brands a lot and it kind of came as part and parcel of other writing work I was doing for them. One tip I would give is that it ALWAYS takes longer than you expect it's going to (until you get more experienced with it), so make sure you price accordingly, as well as get a clear steer from the client.
