Hey Kane! Thanks for your lovely feedback :)

I will certainly re-visit the written elements throughout the projects and break them up more so they are managable and more inviting to read. Also I will note the design choice for using Aktiv Grotesk - cheers!

I've been thinking a lot about selling the typeface, but to be totally honest I wouldn't know where to start. I have looked on a few websites like Fontself - if you know of any others, please feel free to fire away and I'll look into them! A few others have shared lovely comments about the type, so I would like to put it out there and see what response it gets.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback!
  • Hello Ashleigh,

Firstly, beautiful portfolio, you have some absolutley fantstic and well crafted work, so thanks for sharing.

As for any comments, they are minor but are actually what Will and Amy have already brought up.

The descriptions for each project need to be broken up into more managable peices rather then all in one paragraph. A good example of this is your Waves project, that has 2 lines and then a space, it just makes it easier to read. Descriptions should always be as short as possible but if they need to be longer then break them up.

Also in the decriptions, I would try and include why you made certain design choices, why the CO logo used the Aktiv Grotesk typeface for example are always really intersting for other designers to know.

As Amy said about the gallery page, it might just need a short discritpion at the top to say what this page is for or where this work is from.

LOVE the custom typeface, it's always great to see designers producing work that hasn't been briefed. It really shows that you are proactive and that is a great plus for employers.

Have you got any plans to release the typeface? As I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in buying that.

    Hope this helps

Hey Will! Thanks for your feedback - it's lovely to hear!

I certainly like to share my thinking behind the ideas I create, but I definitely agree that the descriptions can be tightened - staying concise and to the point.

Yeah - the Gallery is a selection of my favourite standalone pieces because I wanted to show a few other skills that I can offer. Maybe this section needs an explanation to help others understand... I'll definitely look into re-working it.

Thank you for taking the time to look through my webiste, I really appreciate your feedback! :)
  • @Amy Chiniara

Hi Amy, thank you for taking the time to look through my work :)

I wanted to showcase a few stand alone pieces that I have created, as a way to show others what I can offer. These aren't necessarily full projects, more like single pieces of artwork, so I gathered my favourites into the Gallery section - this is something I can develop and explain better on the website, or maybe re-name... Maybe I could add a description paragraph at the top to make things clearer...

Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it! <3
  • Really impressive! You definitely know how to present your projects visually. I think the writeups could be tightened up a bit maybe, Try to keep each paragraph to four or five lines max? And for the gallery, I don't seem to get much more out of it than the project pages. Maybe you could include more standalone pieces that don't fit into any larger project so well but still showcase interesting skills, such as illustration or animation? Just an idea
  • Hi Ashleigh :)
    Looks great--just one question/comment:
What's the difference between the projects and gallery page?
And why does the gallery one not have text/explanations, and the images cant be clicked on/expanded like the projects page?
    Other than that, beautiful work
    Cheers <3
