Octane or Redshift? Which of these two render engines do you use or prefer and why?

Both have become industry standards for GPU based rendering over the years and while Redshift claims to be the fastest biased renderer, Octane still takes the lead when it comes to photorealism and light fidelity being an unbiased (spectrally correct) engine.

  • Octane is widely used in industry so I prefer octane over Redshift. But at the end no render engine matter. Only matters how much we know about the sense of light. How creative you are. Render engine are tools only. 90% is our creativity 10% is tools. As of now I am using corona and vray, both are top at industry level.
  • Octane, even though my work isn't focused on realism it just looks much more pleasing to my eye and I enjoy how quick their node system has become
