With the lockdown easing, what ways have people found best to attract new work? Social, paid seo....

  • @Jon Payne It's more of a softly-softly approach. "I'd love to hear how you've been and your upcoming plans..." "Would you like to meet?" Incentivising a meeting with cake is always a winner. :-)
  • @Abigail Baldwin who can turn down the offer of cake! :)

Are you sending treatment ideas or more softly and just saying hi etc
  • A lot of recent work has come through Google, but we aren't paying for it! I guess that's been good. :-)

Otherwise, it's been a case of nurturing existing clients. Now lockdown is easing, it gives us an excuse to reach out to them. A lot of them are excited about the prospect of meeting for coffee and cake.
  • @Kate Hendry Hi Kate, any chance I could also get involved with this networking event? I tried to send you a message on LinkedIn but it's not letting me!
  • @Kate Hendry Hi Kate this sounds great – I’m really trying to get ‘into’ networking to find new clients now, having spend a lifetime avoiding it...! Do you mind if I also send you a DM?
  • @Jon Payne yeah not necessarily local as they’re all done on zoom, I do one on a Wednesday at 4pm called happy networking. Drop me a message on LinkedIn and I should be able to invite you if you like

  • @Kate Hendry I’ve heard good things about LinkedIn recently. I’ve spent so long avoiding it.
  • @Kate Hendry Thanks Kate for reply. Yes LinkedIn has been an interesting one for networking... feel decision makers are on their/as been around for longer.
  • Social media, particularly Linkedin ( I get a much better reach on there), online networking. I'm working on my website and SEO though becauser its an easy thing to leave running to get organic hits without continous effort
