What is the project about?
This Masterclass will take you on the journey of a film from an idea in your mind to watching it on the big screen. We shall cover all the aspects of filming and discuss various avenues one may use to pitch the film and secure funding. We shall also discuss the various mediums that can be used to share your film with the world.

What will I get from taking part?
An insight into the pre-production, production and post-production stages and an understanding of how best to market your film once it is finished. On completion of the Masterclass, you will have an insight into the life of a filmmaker and through a brief Q&A session, you will also have an opportunity to ask questions with regard to the filmmaking process.

Who will be teaching the project?
Teniola Zara King is a Nigerian-British Writer/Director and is an alumna of The London Film School. Her latest short film, Teju’s Tale was produced by DBK Studios and Sky Studios and has screened in festivals globally. Teniola shadow directed on Sky Original “The Midwich Cuckoos” and is currently Shadow Directing on a new Netflix Series.

Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
We welcome everyone to attend, whether you’re a filmmaker with heaps of experience, a film lover, or are completely new to the industry.

This Masterclass is for all filmmakers and creatives or those interested in becoming a filmmaker or creative and applying for project funds. Whether you’re a producer, director, Cinematographer, writer or anyone else in the film industry this meet-up is for you!
