Flowers and feminism - a poetry workshop exploring feminist activism through the theme of the ‘flower’.
In this informal poetry workshop, part of Assemblage Youth Collective’s Flower Festival and in collaboration with the Feminist Library, we will explore the connection between contemporary feminism and flowers.
Through a series of interactive prompts, Assemblage writers Anita and Tasch will help you to develop a poetry zine with reference to poetic techniques and writing tips, building from the Feminist Library’s vast collection of poetry on these themes.
At the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to exhibit your zine and take home Assemblage Flower Festival zines and stickers!
This event is aimed at young people aged 18-30, but is open to all.
