“How to” is our monthly online series giving you all the necessary bite size skills to be successfully self-made.
What is the role of creativity and leadership in building a better society? What does a great leader look like in 2023? Are you the missing ingredient?
Are you ready to harness your creative vision to develop leadership skills that inspire action within your community?
This hour-long online workshop is a taster to our creative leadership programme which is aimed at creatives aged between 18-30 thinking of ways in which they can empower themselves to transform their lives and work through creative leadership.
Topics covered are:
  • How to empower yourself to lead creatively.
  • How to develop community action through your creative practice and transform your life and work.
  • How to increase your opportunities in the creative sector and beyond.
About Artists With Elbows:
Artists With Elbows is a growing international artist network who create new work together that reaches out across cultures and differences. The brain child of UK based duo Dan Boyden and Chloe Osborne, AWE exists to challenge the western-centric models of international collaboration. With a growing core artists group spanning Beirut, Sudan, Ethiopia and Tokyo, and with commissions in 2023 that include a large scale international programme with institutions across the UK and the continent of Africa, this organisation is deliberately trying to do things differently.
AWE seeds the conditions for powerful exchange between artist, institution and community, working collaboratively and creatively with communities and groups around the world. AWE is a vehicle for freelance artists in multiple different contexts and conditions; a space to strategies, to be inspired, to challenge and be challenged. Through this partnership with The Roundhouse and Self-Made, AWE will support the next generation of leaders in the UK’s creative sector to better understand what it takes for a freelancer to navigate a world in flux.
