Design-Nation is a membership network and portfolio that comprises a rich and diverse pool of highly skilled designers and makers. Many of Design-Nation’s members have developed portfolio careers, combining making products or artwork with a wide variety of activities such as teaching, writing, mentoring, exhibition curation, consultancy and arts management.
In this discussion, Design-Nation’s Membership Manager Hayley Banks is joined by Charlie Birtles and Rachel Fitzpatrick as two DN members with thriving portfolio careers, and her colleague Liz Cooper. Liz is also a portfolio careerist, juggling her Design-Nation role with a freelance practice.
