Sustainability for us all can feel so overwhelming at times, and like we can never do enough. At modelme we wanted to do an event that would leave you with inspiration on how you can shop sustainably, what the future of consumerism looks like from a sustainability perspective, and share with you two speakers who we believe are leading the way with educating and empowering people on living a more sustainable life.
Speakers:
Wilson Oryema / Artist, Writer + Entrepreneur
Wilson is the Co-Founder of Regenative Futures, a social change iniative + Surface Tension, a platform centred around realising the positive potential of materials. He is a strong advocate for sustainability in fashion and beyond. He explores his interests through various mediums such as text, image + film, including the recent documentary 'How Toxic Are My Clothes?'.
Wilson serves on the advisory panel for the Institude of Digital Fashion and Earth Percent, as well as being an ambassador for AllBirds and the Green Future Project. His endeavours are primarily concerned with "Human consumption and its effects on Human behaviour + the planet"

Jemma Finch TBC / Co-Founder & CEO of Stories Behind Things
Jemma is the Founder of Stories Behind Things, a storytelling platform that promotes living + consuming with a sustainability mindset.
"Stories Behind Things aims to empower, inform + excite consumers to live consciously. We celebate the art of social storytelling by highlighting brands that are at the forefront of this change. We host London-based clothe switches, upcycling workshops, talks + panels on conscious consumption."
