Role x You:
You are at a stage in your career where you know the creative agency industry very well and truly love it. You have a passion for people and culture and you will be the main driver for new connections and business opportunities. You will lead the charge and want this responsibility. This may be a step up for you, but you are ready for it.
The Business Development Director will report to the Managing Director of Virtue Europe and is responsible for all inbound and outbound new business activity for the UK and Europe. You will also have the support and a dotted line into our Head of Business Development in the US to continue to drive excellence across all our business development activities and growth strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Generating new business pipelines across inbound, outbound/lead gen, dormant clients, and unserviced brands in umbrella companies and any additional pipeline we deem worthy of pursuit (i.e. Multicultural).
  • Come up with creative and innovative ways to reach out to new prospects.
  • Help to galvanize interesting content to engage with prospective clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of RFI and RFP documents
  • Have the process nailed (Pipedrive/Hubspot).
  • Collaborate with teams in strategy, creative, account, production, project management, PR/comms, and Vice corporate to bring all opportunities to a close
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure we are securing feedback on significant pitches across Europe.
  • Partner with PR team to create, augment, and amplify any relevant marcomms activity for the benefit of impacting both pipeline and reputation amongst prospect clients
  • Tracks emerging markets and trends.
  • Works to maintain a growth culture and mindset throughout the team
You will have these:
  • 6+ years in outreach and/or business development role at an agency or lead gen company. Either way, you love the thrill of chasing new leads.
  • Good understanding of agency functions and how these ladder up to agency output
  • Self-motivated person, driven and personable
  • Great at upwardly managing
  • You’ll have interesting stories to tell from your business development career to date.
  • An innate ability to listen to a client and uncover a challenge or opportunity.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to travel to meet with prospective clients and lead new business meetings
  • Proficient in Google Suite products, Salesforce and Linkedin
