The A Side: A Day in The Life
Reporting to the Creator Marketing Director, this role presents an exciting opportunity within the newly established Audience and Media team at Universal Music, concentrating on the label's Creator marketing strategy.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Collaborate directly with labels within UMG and artist managers to develop strategies for creator campaigns and define key objectives.
Repurpose artist assets, such as music videos, news, and live performances, for third-party platforms.
Continuously expand our growing database of creators across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Handle negotiations regarding compensation, deliverables, and timeline with Creator or their representatives.
Partner with agencies to assist in executing campaigns as needed.
Support invitations to gigs and events.
Distribute artist merchandise as gifts.
Aid in organising in-person promotions with artists and creators.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with influencers, agencies, and other partners to ensure effective collaboration.
Conduct thorough research to identify current trends, potential influencers, and competitive strategies in the market.
Develop and manage budgets for influencer marketing campaigns, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Track and report on spending against the budget to ensure campaigns stay within financial constraints.
Work closely with other marketing team members, product teams, and external agencies to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
Proven experience in the music industry, specifically on the label or agency side.
Background in fast-paced environments, including influencer and digital agencies.
Familiarity with essential tools for sourcing creators, along with data tools to monitor campaign performance.
Strong intuition for understanding which audience types resonate with artists.
A blend of creativity and data-driven decision-making.
Digitally savvy and constantly aware of internet trends across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
Proven negotiation skills with substantial experience
Effective budget management capabilities
A robust network of contacts within the music industry and beyond, including creators and agencies
Excellent organisational skills with a track record of managing multiple campaigns and creators simultaneously
Flexibility to adapt to evolving marketing trends and consumer preferences
