The Director, Brand Liaison is at the forefront of where music meets the Collaboration world within the fashion space. In an enviable position of being able to represent many of the world’s biggest acts, assisting in developing Bands into Brands and placing opportunities with some of the world’s biggest and best companies and brands.
The Director, Brand Liaison will be responsible for leading and managing sales and marketing opportunities for the artists on Bravado’s roster - focused on Fashion, Streetwear, Footwear, Skate & Sport. Ensuring our artists are responsibly represented; so that their fans and consumers are constantly engaged with new and innovative interactive moments. Delivering industry leading artist and brand collaborations that engage with artists fans and brand consumers alike. Projects that really do shape the future of collaborations.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organized
  • Managing projects and deadlines for internal and external parties.
  • Managing Marketing programs from beginning to end providing complete project recaps with full KPI analysis.
Be Analytical
  • Tracking all current and proposed projects, keeping all updated and ensuring all are adhered to in a timely manner.
  • Ability to understand complex project proposals and contracts, and to represent the business in all discussions.
Be Collaborative
  • Developing, maintaining, and growing relationships is fundamental to success. For all internal and external relationships across all levels and departments.
  • Brand Knowledge, Passion for Streetwear and the scene. Have established contacts and connections at key high level brands where Bravado does not already have a relationship. Ability to meet and influence Brand Owners and Creative Directors at the highest level with the Globes most premium and trend driving Brands.
  • Brand Management, proven track record of managing and developing brands, with a deep understanding of brand values, creative tone and voice, and an ability to deliver partnerships that match and enhance the brand.
  • Strategic Thinking, strong strategic thinker and planner, who can independently craft a vision that aligns with Bravado’s priorities and translate that vision into defined goals, objectives, and a sequence of steps for teams to achieve them.
  • Fully versed in experiential marketing projects and event management. Skill set to work with external brands, marketing agencies. Meet and lead conversations with Brand VP’s of Marketing and CMO’s. As well as senior Marketing leads at key labels such as Republic, IGA, Def Jam etc.
  • Work with UK and US based Brand Management teams on projects and approvals. And keep informed of all artists activity and knowledge of key dates.
Be Creative
  • Working with UMG Communications Team, other UMG depts. and Licensee’s to develop and deliver marketing plans for projects.
  • Briefing in new projects to the Creative Team. Providing consumer trends and marketing insights to support understanding.
  • Understand artists and their audience, then match these with the most suitable opportunities.
  • Utilising key Data and metrics via UMG Marketing Depts.
  • Flexible and adaptive approach to new trends and business opportunities in the constantly changing landscape. Bring the new, adopt and adapt from best practice examples in the industry
Person Specification
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior Collaborations or Marketing level role within UK, EMEA and Globally.
  • Very high level of attention to detail across all areas.
  • Equipped with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing large scale Brand Collaborations with the ability to drive and grow business even further by development of Partnership Strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a very high level of negotiation skills. Ability to create and present compelling presentations.
  • Established relationship-building skills. Persuasive and influential when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and supportive, works well as part of a team.
  • Goal and target driven and focused. Wants to win and achieve as part of the team. Breaks down barriers and overcomes challenges to deliver results.
  • Passion for and a very high level of understanding of the global brand space, aesthetics, and community.
