The A Side: A Day in The Life
Global Classics and Jazz (GCJ) is a division within Universal Music Group (UMG) focusing on a diverse range of music throughout the company, from classical to jazz and beyond (including instrumental, electronic, folk, soul, indie and soundtracks). As Junior Audience Development Manager - International, you will work in a central team at the heart of the division. Alongside the Director of International Marketing & Audience Development, you will be responsible for delivering global audience development and growth strategies. You will have an understanding of how to acquire, nurture and grow first party data. You’ll play a key role in growing audiences across digital platforms including TikTok and YouTube in partnership with repertoire owners and markets. In this newly-created position, the successful candidate will be both curious and creative, eager to constantly learn, and passionate about the future of music.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
A digital native, technically astute individual who has experience of working in digital and/or audience marketing in entertainment (ideally within Music Industry)
Knowledge of, and interest in, social media audiences, digital trends, super fan communities and fan engagement strategies
Must have an understanding and passion for the latest innovations and social trends in digital media and technology.
Thorough knowledge of Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube and all other relevant social media
Interest in new technologies as they relate to the music business
Good organisation and multitasking skills, with an attention to detail
Passionate about music, data and the the social and digital landscape
Understanding of eCRM best practice and how to grow email database
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business, and external partners/artists/managers
Tactful and diplomatic, especially when dealing with artists and management
Proven ability to contribute to innovative, creative and commercially successful marketing strategies.
