Description

Our Team:
We are a lively team responsible for the planning, creation and co-ordination of a tremendous amount of advertising, across the whole of Bauer UK. This team is pivotal in ensuring complete customer satisfaction whether internal or external, and ensure that we always create advertising content, to the highest possible standard, to enable maximum engagement and return.
Focus of your role:
To successfully ensure that all advertising booked by the sales teams across our numerous brands, is planned on to the magazine flatplan, adhering to all guaranteed positional requirements, and sent to the production team within agreed timeframes.
Key responsibilities:
  • Establish close working relationships with Commercial Directors, Editorial and Advertising teams to accomplish a final magazine which has the best ad positioning that is right for our customers and for our editorial requirements.
  • Liaise with Commercial Directors, Managers, Advertising teams and Business Analysts to establish issue sizes, ad page positions and accurate forecasting.
  • Liaise with Production Editors and Ad Production to ensure all ads run within required positions
  • Maintain excellent relationships with sales teams.
  • Ensure sales teams work to credit fix and copy deadlines.
  • Ensure options are managed and sales are aware of the availability for each title
  • Make sure teams are kept up to date throughout the process to ensure timely and accurate decisions are made on ad positions, issue sizes and ad page count.
  • Highlight immediately to the Commercial Directors / Sales Team Managers any issues that arise, escalating to Ad Production Manager for support where necessary.
  • Keep Editorial Production Managers updated on new flatplans.
  • Work with the Ad Production Manager to ensure the best flat planning process is established and continually developed to strengthen areas of weakness.
  • Coach sales staff on best practice with all booking errors within the sales system.
  • Ensure any potential delays or issues affecting the Ad Production workflow, is highlighted to them in a timely manner.
  • Be flexible and willing to adopt and champion all new systems that help improve optioning and flat planning.
  • Be proficient in Adpoint and Censhare (full training provided.)
