Description

POSITION
A key support within the Visual Merchandising team, along with the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager, Merchandising Project Manager and Visual Merchandising Trainee to drive the strategy for the UK market.
Aim to deliver a retail experience in-line with the global brand strategy and act as a guardian of the Brand image.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
HARD MERCHANDISING:
  • Support the Senior VM Manager by project-managing ‘hard merchandising’ projects of permanent counters (Gold/Silver) and temporary counters/relocations in London and regional doors.
  • Liaise with HQ, retailers, shopfitters and suppliers teams to ensure all permanent and temporary counter projects are executed within budget and timeline.
  • Develop VM packs for each new counter and liaise with Europe regional VM team for validation.
  • Support VM Manager setting-up of ‘hard merchandising’ projects at the time of installation, including London + regional doors.
SOFT MERCHANDISING:
  • Support Senior VM Manager with all soft merchandising topics – be the guardian of the brand to ensure perfect execution for each new launch as per UK marketing calendar - visual rollouts, video content updates, planogram updates, launch-specific and institutional POSM updates for all existing and new counters.
  • Develop soft merchandising elements with local suppliers while following global guidelines to support the launch of new ranges and products to drive profitable growth of core categories.
  • Oversee the Visual Merchandising Trainee’s development of the monthly VM Guidelines sent to stores, which acts as a VM bible for in-store and retail teams to convey the correct focus and display of both newness and core.
  • Management of monthly POSM + tester ordering to support new launches – with Visual Merchandising Trainee in support.
  • Management of all axis planograms for Chain stores – development, approval with Europe regional VM team, production, and installation.
  • Liaise with Europe regional team to ensure brand consistency and approval process is met on time for all launch activations.
PROFILE
  • A good understanding of current VM trends and methods.
  • Experience of managing hard merchandising projects from initial concept to installation.
  • Global outlook; understanding of regional and cultural retail differences and environments.
  • Highly organized, motivated and determined individual with a high level of initiative and a clear focus on providing solutions and delivering results.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office. High level of competency in Sketchup & V-Ray.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable.
  • Possess a high level of commercial awareness with the ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team spirit.
  • Passionate about product, brand and retail – should show a clear sensitivity to the subject matter.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project management/visual merchandising role, ideally within perfumes and cosmetics industry.
