Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for organisation and a passion for project management? We are seeking a dedicated PMO Analyst to join our Strategic Projects team.
We are looking for a proactive, driven and organised individual to join us and support with managing and governing our portfolio of projects. This role is open to people with project or PMO experience as well as people who are interested in starting a career in project management. This role would suit someone with strong communication and analytical skills who enjoys collaborating with others and working in a fast-paced environment.
As a PMO Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our diverse portfolio of projects runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking and consolidating information from multiple projects, making it accessible and actionable for key stakeholders. Your oversight will ensure that projects remain on track and within budget, utilising appropriate Stage Gate Assessments. By adhering to established governance protocols, you will help our Strategic Projects team operate at peak efficiency.
The role
In this role, you will lead the administrative and logistical preparation for key meetings, maintain our Projects Dashboard and forward-looking roadmap, and provide critical insights and advice to new projects. Your expertise in identifying lessons learned, potential dependencies, and risks will be invaluable in helping projects deliver optimally alongside other ongoing initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
  • Create and monitor portfolio performance metrics, providing comprehensive status reports to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Directors to keep the project lifecycle updated and accessible for all involved.
  • Ensure Project Managers regularly update action, risk, and issue logs, identifying clear mitigations.
  • Act as a reference for governance within projects, programmes, or portfolios, ensuring robust project risk management.
  • Work with Project Managers to identify, document, and track inter-project dependencies.
  • Assist in processing significant change requests, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
  • Help prepare monthly portfolio financials, resource capacity, and risk forecasts.
  • Review key project documents for strategic alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collate and distribute weekly and monthly progress reports from Project Managers to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and practical data analysis.
  • Organising team and project meetings and supporting collaboration days.
You will bring:

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, easily able to connect with people at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of portfolio and project methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project planning and MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • An understanding of RAID management, Stage Gates, and governance techniques.
  • Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods would be an advantage.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands.
