As gaming continues to grow as a mainstream form of entertainment, the demand for seamless and high-performance network connectivity has never been higher. The Gaming Network Product Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that EE becomes the premier choice for gamers in the UK by developing and optimising our fixed and 5G networks. This position is crucial for enhancing user experiences and solidifying our reputation as the best place to game, driving both customer satisfaction and business growth.
What you’ll be doing
  • Network Development and Enhancement: Lead the development and enhancement of gaming-specific network features across our fixed and 5G networks, ensuring superior performance and reliability.
  • Collaborative Ideation: Work closely with technology teams to brainstorm, scope, and design innovative network solutions tailored for gaming applications.
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of network enhancement projects, from initial concept through to launch, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance to deliver low latency, high bandwidth, and stable connections for gamers.
  • Proposition Development: Convert technical enhancements into compelling propositions for gamers, highlighting the unique benefits of our network for gaming experiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and customer service teams, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of gaming network initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in gaming networks, and use insights to inform strategy and development priorities.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from gamers to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to guide network improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all network enhancements comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project progress, performance metrics, and network improvements
The skills and experience you will have under your belt
Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of network technologies, including fixed broadband and 5G, with a focus on gaming applications.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify issues, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Proactive and innovative problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize network performance.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and presenting ideas to stakeholders.

Experience:
  • Experience in network product management, preferably with a focus on gaming or high-performance networks.
  • Proven experience working closely with technology teams on network development and enhancements.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale network projects, from ideation to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the gaming industry and the specific network requirements for optimal gaming experiences.
  • Experience in gathering and applying customer insights to drive product and network improvements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to network operations and gaming.
  • Experience conducting market research and using data to inform product development strategies.
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
