AWS HR is looking for dynamic and motivated self-starters graduating from selected master’s degree programs in 2025 to join our team in a leadership development program (LDP) designed to prepare you to become senior HR leaders at AWS.
New hires will have a 24-month roadmap consisting of one 12 month specialist assignment (Employee Relations, Inclusion and Diversity, Learning & Development, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Operations, or HR Business Intelligence) and one 12 month customer-facing assignment as a strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP). Participants will experience the full annual cycle applicable for both Specialist and HRBP functions and have the chance to “dive deep” while growing in the ability to “think big.” A key component of the 24-roadmap will be the development of an individual career growth plan that identifies focus areas for the second assignment and post-program assignment.
In the specialist assignment, participants will take on client-specific projects furthering AWS HR strategic initiatives with the objective being to create programs that tackle critical business priorities. Participants will work with their leaders and coaches to identify real-time priorities that align to their career growth plan.
In the HRBP assignment, participants will provide full cycle HR leadership and support to our Amazon Web Services Infrastructure organization. The assignment will be both a strategic and hands on role including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching and driving HR functional excellence. We expect participants to effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across multiple locations.

Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations, development and performance appraisal systems
An ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership, and catalyze results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to travel; may include domestic and international travel (approx. 20%)
