The A Side: A Day in The Life
UK International represents the global interests of Universal Music’s prestige labels and artists.
You will be working with the largest UK labels alongside worldwide Universal affiliates to plan and implement global marketing artist campaigns across the UK roster.
The Senior International Manager at Universal Music will play a crucial role in representing the international needs within one of our major label groups.
Acting as a bridge between the international and label teams, this individual will ensure effective communication, alignment on projects, and provide a strategic voice for international markets.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Serve as an international representative within the label group. The main function is to bring international thinking into every aspect of the label.
Collaborate with various departments, including Creative, A&R, and D2C, ensuring international needs are understood and prioritised.
Offer strategic guidance for a select roster of artists in the pre-export stage.
Actively attend and support artist gigs and music events in the UK to foster relationships and represent label interests.
Regular feedback to the international team on label priorities and what’s working.
Provide ad hoc updates and insights to the international team to keep initiatives and projects aligned.
Travel to markets where appropriate.
Act as a key player between the international and label teams, fostering strong collaboration and mutual understanding.
Provide valuable market insights and contribute to strategic discussions within the international and label groups.
Represent and advocate for international team priorities, ensuring their needs are well-articulated and supported within the wider organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in international marketing, ideally at a managerial level or above, though industry background may vary.
Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team.
Ability to manage and oversee budgets effectively.
Competence with presentation and design tools such as Canva.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Proficiency with internal tools such as UMBI, DOMO, CTM portal, Uniport, and external tools such as Chart Metric for reporting and data analysis.
