We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Human Resources - Corporate in our London office.
Department Overview:
  • In addition to providing day to day operational support around employment (like recruiting, onboarding, training and benefits) our HR Team support the business in creating a feel great candidate and employee experience at all touchpoints within the business and the brand. We support the business in developing our talent and organizational structures to drive commercial success.
  • The Senior Manager, Human Resources - Corporate is a key business partner to function leaders across EMEA.
  • As an HR Partner you will work with leadership and teams to help build organizational and people capability. You will work in partnership with our Centres of Excellence to shape and implement the right strategies and activities to enable our people to drive commercial business success.
  • The role reports to the VP, Human Resources (Alison Thorne)
What You’ll Do:
  • Establish strategic business partnering relationships with VP’s and department management across our European offices (which are in UK, Spain, Netherlands, France, Italy and Switzerland).
  • Create a European corporate HR plan in support of the Michael Kors business strategy and HR vision.
  • Develop tools and processes to continuously improve employee experience and to enable people focused decision making by senior management.
  • Work closely with Centers of Excellence (L&D, Recruitment, Internal Communications, Total Reward, D&I) to ensure the delivery and impactful communication of the right activities to support our people plan.
  • Be the filter of global initiatives to ensure the right lens is applied for a European audience. Influence global to ensure regional needs are met.
  • Support the recruitment of directors and senior management roles to ensure we have the best talent for the future.
  • Own talent planning process for corporate, running sessions with our leaders and ensuring there are clear action plans for key roles.
  • Participate on project teams responsible for the ongoing evolution of HR systems and processes that will support the delivery of the corporate people plan.
  • Help develop junior generalist talent in our department, coaching to help them grow and develop in support of our people.
  • Own the execution and data for key process like Pay and Performance Review, Talent for the corporate population.
  • Partner with COEs to ensure we have the right approach to listen to our people and seek feedback about the HR “offer”, continuously improving and working in collaboration with the business.
  • Bring the outside in, keeping an eye on trends and best practices in the market and sharing them with colleagues.
You’ll Need to Have:
  • Proven experience in a Senior HR role in country or region. Up-to-date professional and technical knowledge and expertise to business problems.
  • Previous European experience (with knowledge of different employment law and local practices), particularly in UK, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain or France.
  • English language skills to near fluency/business use levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor communication style to a variety of audiences. Comfortable presenting and representing the function at company events.

  • Coaching skills (certification would be ideal)
  • Other European language skills would be advantageous (particularly Italian, French or Spanish)
  • Data-driven mindset and able to build strong business cases to support action planning.
  • Knowledge of psychometrics or personality assessments.
