About

Spilt Milk is an art cafe which combines the concept of an art gallery and a coffee shop to create an inspirational and creative space for socialising and networking. The project has an element of social entrepreneurship, with the aim to support young London artists by letting them exhibit and sell their work for free. This allows them to gain exposure and experience by building their brands and networks - essentially helping them to launch in the art world. With London being a tough place to survive while being a student, funding art projects and gaining the opportunity to exhibit can be a daunting prospect. We will actively support young creatives in their early development, and further their client base and sales as our community builds. Part of Whitechapel Gallery's 'First Thursdays' - meaning we are open later on 5th of April (until 9pm) come along for a coffee and to support your local artists. The first pop-up will run from the 5th of April to the 9th of April, 45 Charlotte Road, Shoreditch, 9.30-5.30. Come along to the launch from 6pm- 9pm on Wednesday the 5th!
