Collect 2018
Since 2004, Collect: The International Fair for Contemporary Objects has been the leading event on the global crafts calendar – an essential, discipline-crossing showcase of modern creative expression for collectors, enthusiasts and practitioners alike. Returning to the Saatchi Gallery on 22–25 February 2018, Collect fills three floors with exceptional objects in ceramic, glass, jewellery, wood, metal, textiles and experimental materials, and represents the work of an astonishingly diverse array of makers from Britain and beyond. Invited by a distinguished panel of craft specialists, more than 30 worldwide galleries take part, presenting a selection of pioneering pieces from both established and emerging talents. The fair’s programme includes a series of talks and discussions from global craft figureheads and thought leaders, as well as Collect Open – its ever-popular platform for individual makers to display objects that challenge the conventions of craft and design and which push making processes in intriguing new directions.
