Hailing from Bermondsey via Hastings, Greentea Peng is on her own to path stardom. “In harmony with nature and out of step with the rest of the industry” according to NME, her top 5 spot in the BBC’s Sound of 2021 poll was won while subverting music’s norms. To launch her eagerly awaited full-length debut, Man Made, we teamed up with EMI Records. With the album recorded at 432hZ – quite literally on a different frequency – it’s a sound that’s “more in your heart space, and less in your headspace”, so we gave it the experiential treatment it deserved, alongside a billboard in the centre of Peckham. We brought Man Made to the streets by co-ordinating an open-top bus tour around London. Alongside arranging performances in five locations over the course of a perfectly sunny Saturday, we gave the bus a full custom vinyl wrap that spotlighted the release’s psychedelic artwork, mirroring Greentea Peng’s blissed-out sounds. Stopping off in Angel, London Fields, Soho, Notting Hill and Brixton, we created a huge buzz wherever we went. Hundreds of fans crowded the streets, capturing content for social media, and singing along to the sweet sounds of their first dose of live music in a long time.
