Intro to Portfolios

Online workshop understanding the basic elements of a professional portfolio and how to present yourself

Artificial Kreativity presents the Intro to Portfolios online workshop
Intro to Portfolios was developed at our Cross Pollinator workshop as a short presentation to break down the basic elements of a portfolio and understand how to organize your work in a professional manner. We created this with the intent to help those without experience to gain confidence in starting a portfolio and for advanced creatives to structure their portfolio professionally. We have presented this to secondary school (high school) students applying to architecture schools, university students, early-year architecture practitioners, and other various creative professions. Although this is aimed for architects or those interested in architecture, the principles—graphics, text, visual communication, layouts and organization— can transfer to other creative industries. Selected individuals who submit their portfolios have the opportunity to gain live feedback on their work.
Who is it for?
This is intended for students to early-year creative practitioners.
What will my experience be like?
This is an online group workshop where you will receive an automated confirmation email after making a booking. If you wish to participate in live feedback please send through your portfolio. A link to join the event will be sent the day before (be sure to check you spam folders). We will begin with a presentation including questions and answers and then follow up with live feedback on selected portfolios.
What happens after the workshop?
At the end of the workshop you will have gained an understanding on how to structure a professional portfolio with its key elements (graphics, layouts, diagrams, proportion, and text) and communicate your work visually to present it in a clear professional manner. We have seen many portfolios and talented people who could use that extra help to make their portfolio very strong and communicate ideas clearly.
