As a part of Squarespace’s overarching “Make It” brand platform, in September of 2017, we launched the “Make It Stand Out” campaign. This campaign furthered our embrace of the do-it-yourself creation process of building a Squarespace site, and emphasized the desire to succeed and stand apart with your own unique and creative approach.
With “Make It Stand Out”, we set out to deliver a clear message around why it’s important to stand out from the crowd and combat uniformity—a message that almost anyone can relate to. The concept was born from real data and research, sparked by the discovery of how many bands were actually named Atlas. This realization inspired our creative approach in a large way, and led to a campaign concept that we adapted for magicians and storytellers as well.
