Mette Sterre is a London/Rotterdam based performance maker.
She creates sculptural costumes, animating the inanimate in her search to dehumanise the human body. She feels like a Dr. Frankenstein sowing body parts together to create a new life form.
Natalie uses performance to challenge the boundaries between process in theatre and process in fine art; she is interested in how lies can be choreographed by theatre and how fine art often has a free, haptic and uncontrollable nature. Her work revolves around the question 'If an art making process is performed does it become theatre?
