MyMaths

MyMaths Brand identity Ideas + craft = a great formula for brand identity success. If you’ve studied maths at school in the last 15 years, the chances are you’ll know MyMaths. The online teaching platform – owned and operated by Oxford University Press – is used in 80% of secondary schools in the UK to teach maths at all levels. Worldwide, over 4 million pupils use MyMaths in 70 countries. However you add it up, that’s a lot of sums. OUP invited us to develop the MyMaths brand identity as part of a large scale project to update the platform and the technology which underpins it. Like many of our projects, we began with the word: working with the OUP team to understand why audiences choose MyMaths, we translated research findings into a new approach to messaging. To reflect this friendlier approach to language, we ensured that the new brand identity was engaging and fun, too. An adaptive design solution means that MyMaths remains relevant and approachable for pupils right through from primary to secondary school. A ten out of ten project.
