PTV Network Sans type family
Extensive typeface family produced in-house for Public Transport Victoria with the PTV in-house design team.
This is a tricky project to talk about in terms of sheer scale, and breadth of collaboration. Network Sans is the official name for Public Transport Victoria’s custom designed, and owned, typeface. Extensive typographic branding projects like these are rare, especially within Australia. There was no local precedence for a typographic branding project of the scale of this. The majority of the work on Network Sans was therefore taken in-house and, although the project spent most of its time in my inbox, it was very much a collaborative effort involving as many members of the PTV team as possible.
