The Big Draw X Concepts Drawing Challenge

The Big Draw is delighted to announce our partnership with Concepts, an app that explores and redifines visual thinking and design for touch on mobile devices, encouraging creative innovation, thoughtful design and inspiring artistry through cutting edge creative tools. Beginning this October, Concepts are celebrating with The Big Draw Festival 2021 theme 'Make the Change'. To kick off the partnership, Concepts and The Big Draw are launching the Concepts Drawing Challenge. Read on to find out a little more about the challenge, and how you can get involved.

The Concepts Drawing Challenge

Running from 9 -30 October 2021, the Concepts Drawing Challenge invites entrants to think of how they can tackle a key area or make a positive difference within their community or environment to help #MaketheChange. Entrants will draw a sketch about it in the Concepts app, and write a description about their idea and what they hope it will accomplish.

All entrants for the Challenge are encouraged to share their sketch on Instagram, along with the description and the hashtags #thebigdrawconceptschallenge, #makethechange, #contest and #conceptsapp to enter. After the Challenge closes on 30 October 2021, a judging panel will meet to select the top 10 prize winners!
For each entry, Concepts will donate $25 USD to The Big Draw charity. The top ten winners will also receive a prize or set of prizes!

How to Enter

1. Post an original sketch with hashtags.
Post an original sketch or sketches that you created in Concepts on Instagram. Use the hashtags #thebigdrawconceptschallenge, #makethechange, #conceptsapp and #contest - all hashtags are required, please check your spelling! One project per entry. If you include multiple sketches for the same project, please keep them to the same post.

2. Include a short story.
In the caption, share your idea and a few thoughts about your motivation, and three steps for making your idea happen. The more thoughtful you are about your description, the more we can understand and appreciate your submission.

3. Check your Direct Messages.
The contest will run from 9 - 30 October 2021. Be sure to post before midnight on 30 October to be eligible. Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity, and the strength of your concept share. We will DM three separate winners on November 9, 2021. You must accept your winning status within 72 hours to claim your prize!

4. Prizes!
First Prize: Your choice of one set of Apple AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds+ or Microsoft Surface Earbuds, a set of six Copic markers, and a Concepts App t-shirt.
Second Prize: A set of six Copic Markers and a Concepts App t-shirt.
Third Prize: A Concepts App t-shirt.
