  • The Ivy Palace
The Ivy PalaceThe Ivy Palace provides a hub for local groups to encourage young people to work outside and learn about the natural environment. This outdoor classroom, situated in a small woodland park outside Beith in North Ayrshire, consists of a small enclosed cabin that provides a sheltered space for the students. A timber lattice fits over this top of the cabin and would, over time, be consumed by plants to become part of the learning experience itself.
  • Altyre Boat Building Centre
Altyre Boat Building CentreThe Boat Building Centre aims to revitalise an existing farm building in northeast Scotland. A new CLT workshop, built using local timber, turns the site into a traditional boat building centre. The rest of the farm buildings are to be re-purposed for rope making, sailcloth weaving, drafting and also as accommodation for the visitors. The centre brings together both young and old, creating a space of collaboration and learning. For young people it would be an opportunity to learn new skills in

The structure was joined using bolts and re-purposed

Clients included Levi’s, ASICS, COS, The White Company, Nike, and Balmain, with projects ranging from shop window installations to fashion shows and interactive events. It gave me the opportunity to work with designers and clients from initial concept artwork, through to construction drawings, fabrication and finally installation.
  • The Theatre of the Underbelly
The Theatre of the UnderbellyThe Theatre of the Underbelly is an immersive theatrical experience situated in a ruined graveyard in Bath. It explores the power of narrative and how architecture can induce alchemical change in an audience. It consists of seven ‘scenes’ in which the characters come to terms with their own insignificance when faced with the power of nature. Although the outcome is fantastical, the themes and research behind it are very real. The theatre is a curated fabrication, yet it contains a profound narra
