I spent 7 years forging an enjoyable and acknowledged career at Elvis. Turning my hand, eye, and wit to an incredibly wide variety of successful jobs. I answered briefs equally efficiently in a self managed environment as I did as part of diverse agile teams. My remit as Senior Designer saw me as client facing Brand Guardian for a well known computer producer’s International reseller franchise, an astute and detail focused job. Alongside the UK Creative Director I designed the creative for the 2013 international Christmas holidays campaign and produced the comprehensive style guides for all marketing material to be produced for their premium retailers. I was comfortable designing and presenting modular, scalable websites, emails and press solutions for big brands like Virgin Trains and Honda. With my knowledge of retail, I have produced the whole suite of in-store marketing material for Peroni, Hollywood Bowl and Pizza Hut. Happily alongside our production guru I’ve advised on advanced finishing techniques like spot UV, foil blocking and special papers for jobs like the UK’s last ever printed Auto Trader magazine, featuring an animated video cover. Our work on Compassion in World farming continues to be heavily lauded in the digital marketing sphere. Whilst a flying visit to New York enabled me to secretly explore the customer journey for a Virgin Atlantic pitch. I even found the time to help make the company a better place, helping run entertainment committees, making fun videos and of course the management and mentorship of Junior staff members and freelancers.
A brilliant time of growth with much recognition and promotion. As part of their design department I built up a firm knowledge of the retail and channel environment during my work predominantly on Orange, whilst my strong Mac skills and eye for design was often utilised creating pitch-winning work, like that for the Nintendo Wii launch. As a team member on the Orange account I was given the opportunity to fully explore the BTL environment, mastering the range of store theatre and understanding the customer journey. I craved more brand, creative and platform diversity, so I relocated to Elvis.
