A designer with 20 years experience working across multiple design disciplines from brand identity and environmental graphics to packaging, brochures and corporate literature.   • Ian Macleod Distillers – Burnfoot Whisky Packaging
    Ian Macleod Distillers – Burnfoot Whisky PackagingGlengoyne, a well-established distillery, launched a new whisky. The brief was to attract a new, curious and aspiring target audience to take their first steps on the Glengoyne journey. The whisky was named Burnfoot – the original 1833 name of the Glengoyne distillery. The name Burnfoot has heritage, while the GPS co-ordinates, fluorescent colour and distinct stencilled typography add a modern twist. The burn is illustrated in gold foil and the box is crowned by a distinctive aluminium clasp.

    Sport England – Brand refreshAs well as funding established sports groups, Sport England’s priorities now include reinvigorating grass-roots sport and encouraging mass participation. The organisation therefore needed a cohesive identity and clear positioning as the country’s leading sports body. The refresh needed to be expressed in all Sport England communications. To facilitate this, five versions of the guidelines were produced, each tailored to different audiences at national, regional and local levels.

    Saracens Rugby – Re-brand & marketing collateralOne of Europe’s top rugby clubs, Saracens sought to capitalise on its move to a brand new home by ramping-up marketing activities and strengthening their visual brand. Allianz Park, their purpose built stadium and headquarters enabled the club to unlock new event and hospitality opportunities off the pitch but this would demand a distinctive new visual brand identity to communicate the club’s passion and aspirations more effectively.     Homerton University Hospital, Children's Emergency Department – Art, Wayfinding & Information DesignAnimal forms were derived from the adult ED patterns to give visual cohesion across the whole Emergency Department. A simple geometric style was developed, appealing to both young children, and teenager’s. The original Children’s ED suffered from an inconspicuous entrance and insufficient patient information. My practice is analytical and ideas driven – most recently combining visual identity, wayfinding and placemaking in major redevelopment projects for higher education clients and NHS London. A passion for typography and graphic art run throughout my projects whether branding, digital, print or placemaking.
