A year-long maternity cover role, I was responsible for managing the company’s four websites (jasperconran.com, jasperconranshop.com, l-hotelmarrakech.com and lindos-villas.com) as well as overseeing and strategising all press and marketing for the mainline collection and Mr Conran’s award-winning hotel, L’Hôtel Marrakech. Other aspects of my role included producing the mainline look book shoots, planning and implementing all social media content and any ad-hoc creative projects, including co-curating an exhibition of Mr Conran for the University of Seville. I also work closely with the team at Debenhams to ensure that look book shoots and press shows for J by Jasper Conran were consistent and on-brand.
I was promoted in 2017 which saw me become responsible for all aspects of brand and content, including writing all copy, overseeing all imagery and graphic design and producing the ecom and campaign shoots. I also worked closely with the CEO and other members of the management team to drive the business forward.
I joined Finery as the Content Editor and introduced a monthly content calendar and web plan as well as a yearly marketing calendar that encompassed all elements of the business. This enabled me to plan web, email and social content in-line with the company's objectives.
Working with the marketing, merchandising, copy and creative teams, I planned and briefed all content for the website, emails, social media and special projects across four territories: the UK, Europe, USA and Canada.
I was at personalised book company I am the Greatest for just under a year and during this time I worked closely with the founder to both launch and promote the brand. This required me to deal with all aspects of the business, from overseeing the development and construction of the website to commissioning freelancers and managing a marketing assistant. I also oversaw the blog content, social media strategy and the digital marketing. This was been unlike anything I have previously undertaken and it required me to be extremely organised and proactive. It also gave me an understanding of technical elements including HTML, CSS and WordPress.
During my time at TOWER London I relaunched the blog, edited the bi-annual TOWER London Magazine, restructured their approach to social media and worked closely with other team members to create bespoke campaigns and coverage for events including Back to School, new store openings and industry events including a bloggers’ breakfast. I was also responsible for creating daily blog and social media content as well as writing and overseeing the newsletters.
I was promoted to Senior Fashion & Lifestyle Writer in January 2013. This saw me not only continue managing the other team members and the day to day workload but also work closely with the Head of Editorial to relaunch the new Secretsales.com blog, The Secret and devise and compile editorial content across varying subject matters, including fashion, lifestyle and interiors. The relaunch saw traffic increase on the blog ten-fold after it launched in March 2013.
As Senior Copywriter I was responsible for all of the product descriptions, blog content and social media as well as managing a team of writers and freelancers. I also introduced a company-wide sales calendar which enabled us to better plan and prioritise upcoming sales. Secretsales.com was extremely fast-paced which required me to not only be extremely organised but to maintain strong relationships with other departments including design, buying and the in-house studio to create imaginative and inspiring work that resonated with customers.
I worked closely with Mary and the First Styling Assistant on planning and working on shoots for the likes of Teen Vogue, The Savoy and French Magazine.
I worked at Prada shortly after graduating in 2008. Based in the leather goods department, I was responsible for serving customers and in-store merchandising.
