     - Dunblane FK15, UKInternship
This internship allowed me to gain new skills and learn more about working within a jewellery studio environment. This allowed me to see the workings and daily task required for running a successful independently owned jewellery business. The skills I gained through this experience let me build up confidence in my own practical abilities, which I was able to take through to my final year studies. The studio also held evening and weekend classes for jewellery making beginners, so I was there to carry out tasks to help prepare samples for the classes. I also had to take photos to put on the website for the upcoming classes. This was an excellent experience as I got to work alongside an independent jeweller who is very successful in her practice. I gained new knowledge and bench work experience, which allowed me to grow in my own practice and it let me see how a jewellery business is run

I am a recent graduate of Jewellery and Metal design. My four years at DJCAD taught me what type of designer I want to be and gave me the skill set to do so. I work predominantly in found materials, jesmonite and recycled objects that other may regard as rubbish to create unique bold pieces.
