Since joining Cortex Creatives as SMM in September of 2018, I have undertaken the roles of Art Director.
My responsibilities began with my position as Social Media Manager. In this role, I took on the management of Cortex's social accounts. This involved: - Sourcing creative work to showcase on all platforms. - Recruiting creatives to become members of Cortex's exclusive members group. - Working in coordination with Editorial Managers and Photographers on interviews and press releases. - Growing the engagement of Cortex's social media platforms. I slowly progressed to more complex roles, taking on design tasks for Cortex and also curating bi-monthly challenges for it's members. Therefore, I have recently been promoted to Creative Consultant. This role involves: - Strategic planning of creative events and bi-monthly 'Cortex Challenges' - Designing artwork for the social platforms and events. - Involvement in the progression of Cortex Creatives as an organisation.
A large part of my practice is undertaking Freelance work for creative clients. I have had the opportunity to work on many exciting commissioned projects. Some projects include: - Artwork for artist 'Xander' for his latest release 'Worst Enemy'. Xander is an electronic music producer and vocalist from Boston, with a monthly listening count of 54,293. - Artwork for the collaborative album "IllHive", produced by Lyric Le'son, in collaboration with the members of Ill Mind Producer's "Pass The Aux" Workshops. - Logo for Photographer Julian Jones.
I am currently working as a Community Manager at Anyways Creative for Converse on the launch of their London based initiative.
I am currently studying Illustration Animation at Kingston University. Last year, I studied BA (Hons) Graphic Design, however transferred to Illustration Animation in September 2018.

I was contacted in the summer of 2018 by the team at 1340 Art Magazine, requesting that I submit my work to their quarterly competition to be featured in their magazine. I was lucky enough to be a considered in the final selection of the submissions. Despite not being chosen as a finalist, I still celebrate this as an achievement and feel very proud of this as a recognition of my personal work.
