Currently working as a Photography Coordinator for the high street department store British Home Stores. Duties include organising lifestyle photography for the company’s home department to use for marketing in store, online, TV and PR. As well as arranging photography shoots I work closely with the Photography Manager working on concepts, mood boards and styling for upcoming photo shoots and new season looks. Part of my role is to manage the photography shoots budgets, department budgets and administration and logistics that come with arranging large-scale shoots. Once the photo shoot is over I manage the re-touching and post production of the images, as well as managing the departments image library, assets and licences.
My role at Worldstores as an Image and Video Department Coordinator consisted of me organising photography and video shoots for the e-commerce department, as well as ensuring quality imagery was produced for the company's website. I also managed the department’s administration and expenses, as well as arranging the logistics of products arriving at the studio and making sure the style guidelines were met. Furthermore, I assisted the e-commerce photographer with studio lighting, product set ups, organising the studio and equipment and aiding with the re-touching in post-production.
Working as a sales advisor in one of UKs leading high street fashion stores and after only a few months I was promoted to the visual merchandiser of the store. This consisted of arranging the store layout, dressing window displays and working on store visuals and promotions.
During my time at this video production company I ran the studio overseeing projects, organising freelancer designers, arranging equipment for shoots and liaising with clients on meeting tight deadlines. Other key aspects of my role consist of me dealing with music video briefs, looking for new promo directors, aiding with new business for the company and managing the company’s website and social media sites.
The photography role at MyLondonHome allowed me to use my skills and experience learnt from my degree course and apply them in a working environment. As a Photographic Administrator my job was to take the marketing images of London’s most prestigious real estate, edit and update the images on to the company’s website along with creating marketing brochures and newspaper advertisements.
