I’m Julia and I love to make beautiful things - from Madrid, to London, to the rest of the world. I’m a versatile creative designer and art director with multidisciplinary experience spanning print, digital, film and experiential.
I have art directed photo and video shoots for both the UK and Global markets and have been fortunate enough to commission and collaborate with fantastic photographers, videographers, set designers and directors.
Most recently I have been working at Condé Nast where I created and art directed digital campaigns, for global fashion and lifestyle brands, including Tommy Hilfiger, Jean Paul Gaultier and The Ritz Carlton.
Projects
- Lands´End x VogueTo launch the first Canvas by Lands’ End collection, we created an interactive look book that lived within Vogue's website. To embody the idea of a blank canvas, we recreated summer situations within a plain studio space, out of props and set design relative to different summer scenes - pool, meadow, sun and forest. The campaign played out through a video and allowed users to explore the settings from the fashion shoot through scrolling functionalities, looping videos and still photography.
- Tommy Hilfiger x GQTo launch the TH FLEX suit in global markets, we created a campaign showcasing real people doing what they do best whilst dressed impeccably, helping Tommy Hilfiger to move away from the american college style and giving them a more refined look and feel. By utilising GQ and Condé Nast’s extensive network we were able to locate handsome and talented individuals in 4 global cities to not only show style, but also to represent the freedom that comes with wearing a TH Flex suit. The campaign was supported by social posts and native articles in GQ for each of the different markets. This ensured the message was easily translated and understandable to each of the different GQ audiences.
- The Ritz-Carlton x VogueThe Ritz-Carlton approached us to help them acquire visibility and to showcase their services and hospitality offering. The added difficulty was that they don´t have any hotels in the UK. Our solution was to create a multi-sensory performance event in collaboration with Vogue and GQ, to bring to life the level of hospitality delivered by The Ritz-Carlton. We commissioned and directed a team of actors, dancers, audio visual artists, chefs and mixologists to create an immersive experience, highlighting some of the most memorable aspects of The Ritz-Carlton. The event took place in an art gallery in Central London. We transformed the space into a labyrinth of floaty doors that guided guests to Room 8, a video mapped cubic room, with 360 sound design where guests enjoyed special food and drink and got transported around the world of The Ritz-Carlton.
