- Juxtaposition of the Subliminal and the ConsciousMy project is about the juxtaposition of the subliminal and the conscious, under the theme of consumerism. I picked this theme as I am always interested in consumer culture and how our behaviour can be influenced by the power of trends and advertising. After visiting the Tate Modern’s ‘The World Goes Pop’ exhibition in London, I was inspired to use elements of pop art and eye-catching colours to express the issue of consumerism. - The sweet scent of celebrity - Perfume Packaging DesignBrief: The sweet scent of celebrity You are asked to choose a famous character, person or celebrity and select an artist (photographer, sculptor, illustrator) whose work you think reflects your character. In the style of/or inspired by your chosen artist you should design and create the packaging of a new celebrity fragrance. Then you are required to launch this new perfume onto the market on behalf of your chosen character. My Approach: I have chosen Wes Anderson x Marilyn Monroe as my inspiration in this project. - MetamorphosisInspired by Kafka - Metamorphosis, I have photographed my friends and photoshopped their silhouettes and forms an insect figure. Then use them as a motif to create various patterns. I have printed the patterns and put them in chemicals and transform them into insect candies. Also I have created a menu for the selection of candies.
