About me
Since 2009, I have applied my keen eye for detail to a singular design mission: going back to the basics so the necessary may speak. I find that my strength lies in simplifying complex ideas and turning those idea's into tangible products. With the assistance of the Adobe Creative Suite — particularly Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and After Effects — I can visually convey a solution through different mediums. Currently, I am revitalizing my initial passion, craft. Recently, I began exploring fashion design, illustration, and apparel construction. With this, I was able to create a series of hand-made bags that function for both land and water mammals alike.

Flower BagHere is an Introductory Guide on my attempt at constructing a modern flower bag, just in time for the end of Spring and the beginning of Summer. With the flowers in full bloom during Spring and Summer perennials just around the corner here in the U.S., this flower bag can make a great accessory at the Farmers Market or local Flower Shop.

Volunteer Guide for the Asian Art MuseumAs a Volunteer for the Asian Art Museum, I was granted an opportunity to practice what I’ve learned from the course, “Human-Centered Service Design,” by IDEO U. The 5-week course gave us the training wheels to empathize with users and gain insight into a specific need that can benefit the user and the establishment. I interviewed a fellow Volunteer from the Asian Art Museum name Erica Ween. According to Ween, she has encountered a lot of issues within the coat check/information desk — most not

Eat with your EyesThe old saying, "Eat with your Eyes first," is being examined with this project. By only incorporating the color of the ingredients in a recipe, can we determine whether the recipe is worth salivation?
  • Video Presentation on Hostile Architecture
Video Presentation on Hostile ArchitectureA brief video on my work in presentation design. The presentation was designed for a course I took at IDEO U called, "From Ideas to Action". We had to pick a challenge of our choosing, iterate (converge thinking), and test our assumptions through prototyping. Once when we have designed a rough prototype, we are to test it out with the public and then reiterate (diverge thinking). The challenge I chose to tackle was Homelessness and Climate Change. Understandably, these are Wicked Problems, mea
  • Hostile Architecture
Hostile ArchitectureI recently completed a course from IDEO U called, "From Ideas to Action." This course allowed us to Iterate and Prototype, fail, and Diverge and Converge. By reframing a problem and sticking with it, a collaborative and creative prototype can come about. I, on the other hand, extended my research skills and came across existing prototypes that were being questioned of its very existence. It was truly a brain teaser. What I have found was: Safety & Security is a basic Human Need and it is highl

Collaboration with the Chinese Culture Center in San FranciscoThe Chinese Culture Center in San Francisco is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising underserved communities and giving voice to equality through education and contemporary art. As a volunteer for the organization, I was given the opportunity to design a poster for Asian Heritage Month in May. Working alongside Chinatown Community Leaders and the Executive Director of the Chinese Culture Center, we were able to creatively direct and gather all of the necessary content in order to m

On January 5, 2021. I participated in the open submission, "Design your own architecture for a dog," at Japan House London. While their recent exhibition, "Architecture for Dogs," cannot be viewed in person and can only be viewed virtually, the design submission was a fun and exciting way to have the public participate during their closure caused by the Pandemic. On January 15, 2021, I noticed on Instagram that my design was picked by Rosa Rogina, Programme Director at London Festival of Architecture. I was so touched to have been chosen and am truly grateful to have been able to participate in this opportunity. It was an inspiring, eye-opening experience that was much needed — especially during such a difficult time.

The Strip-Mesh Gym Bag is made of a one-sided, color-printed, strip-mesh vinyl banner typically used for outdoor print advertisements. I sourced the banner from a local recycling center located in Oakland, California and its original intent was to advertise a Women’s Marathon Run sponsored by Nike in 2011. The reason why strip-mesh vinyl was chosen in the making of the gym bag is because of the material itself. The material allows for 25% to 37% air-flow and it has a PVC coating on the front and back side, making the material highly durable and suitable for the outdoors.
