I’m Liam, my background is product (industrial) design - I have a passion for making, creating and problem solving, which is expressed through to my style of design. That style being detail oriented focused with a logical, solution based perspective. I’ve had project opportunities to explore other creative fields such as Design for Manufacture, UX, Marketing & Branding and Graphic Design. I’m committed, proactive and empathetic with a desire to absorb new things, conversations and skill sets.

- Panasonic Grooming Barber CapeBrief: Apply graphical treatment to a barber cape, whilst keeping consistent with the Panasonic Professional Grooming Branding Assets. Project Background: Panasonic planning department approached PDL asking to create a new barber cape design, consistent with the newly generated brand guidelines. June 4th 2020, Barber shops reopen post Covid lockdown this gave Panasonic Design London a small time frame (around 1.5 months) to execute world class design, liaison with printers and place a mass orde
- An Intelligent Kitchen Appliance AppBrief: Develop understanding for SHOT’s visual language and transfer this into a range of support accessories. Project Background: IFA 2019, SHOT is one of the six products showcased inside the Balance of Being space. SHOT is an intelligent smoothie maker using a camera for active condition analysis and Artificial Intelligence to create bespoke smoothies tailored perfectly for the users nutritional needs. PDL's role was to design a range of accessories too support SHOT.

Panasonic Design London's role within the business structure had shifted to a position handling a broader range of creative output's. This was a perfect opportunity to increase the pressure and responsibilities within the team, proactively seek more projects and ultimately pushing myself to learn new techniques, skillsets and strategies.
- Established new skill sets (UX, UI, Branding, Marketing, Packaging, Web, Graphic Design) in-line with project / company demands, whilst maintaining high quality project output.
- Lead UK sector of global user focused pain point research project. Directed and collaborated
affectively with international agencies to deliver results consistent with Panasonic’s overarching
research strategy and company vision.
- Delivered Panasonic Professional Grooming's first communication asset (Barber Cape) to the market, consistent with the newly formed brand guidelines.

Studied at Sheffield Hallam University qualifying with a First Class Honours in Product Design.
Throughout my degree I developed skill sets across the full product design spectrum; User Research, Competitor Analysis, Sketching, Design Engineering, CAD, Design Thinking, Concept Visualisation, Model Making, Prototyping and Testing.
I was fortunate enough to work on live project's with industry leading companies such as David Mellor Design, Morphy Richards and Simon Pengelly. At New Designers 17, I showcased my final year project, Spectacle De Cafe, which was shortlisted for the Kenwood Design Award.
