- OCB Menu designHad the pleasure of illustrating a menu for Old Compton Brasserie and gaining second place in their artist competition. I wanted to highlight OCB as 'A place where eyes and mouths can feast'. Their Jammie Dodger dessert is where I took inspiration from. This consists of a buttery vanilla shortbread sandwich filled with piped white chocolate mousse, fresh raspberries topped off with drizzled raspberry coulis! - Le goûter à l'ivoirien - Ivorian Treats (2020)As part of Côte d'Ivoire's 60th *Independence* Day I made some edits of photos/scans from my trip to Côte d'Ivoire of their popular treats. 1 - G/Bofloto also known as Beignets or Galettes are essentially doughnuts, massively popular in Côte d’Ivoire and in West Africa. They are breakfast specialties and are often made as grignoter (nibbles/snacks). They can be served plain or coated in sugar. - Final Major Project - EscapismFor my Final Major Project I explore the intersections between escapism and mental health. This autobiographical zine depicts the romanticising of everyday essential items and food, whilst highlighting the flaws in such experiences. Stylistically, this embraces both the combination of hyper-detailed realism and comic-styled illustrations, simultaneously depicting reality and fantasy.
