About me
Olivia Reid is a Embroidery and Manipulation Textile Designer. Specialising in CAD Embroidery, Fabric Manipulation and Digital Print for high end women’s fashion. She has unique and innovative takes on techniques which include Smocking, CAD Embroidery and Embellishment. From which a range of tactile but delicate samples are created. With a sensitive understanding for material and colour, allowing her to be confident within pushing the limits of her designs.

    'Culture in Colour'‘Culture in Colour’ explores the relationship between shape and colour when looking at the Jardin Majorelle in Morocco, capturing the vivid architecture and dramatic forms that are found within the gardens. Through the use of abstraction, block colour and overlapping shapes become the forefront of the imagery, translating a small aspect of Marrakech culture into a collection of samples that reflect a contemporary take on the cultural garden.
